Daily Wrist Check is a social media brand that focuses on buying, selling and trading luxury watches. In addition to building a reputation as a quality seller, the brand has also become a popular hashtag used by other sellers to amplify their content in the luxury watch space.
The client needed a graphic to use as a profile picture on Instagram. The graphic should be bold and modern; fun and casual enough to be appropriate for social media; and still position the brand as serious and reputable to a luxury audience.
I created a graphic wordmark using heavy block typography and a solid long shadow. The wordmark is anchored by a stylized hashtag, representing the social nature of the brand. The incorporation of the handset communicates the brand’s connection to luxury watches.
Additionally, I provided the client with a color palette to support a stronger brand identity, with the possibility of expanding the brand onto other platforms in the future.
